The AboutFace Constituency Committee is a group made up of individuals with a facial difference, as well as parents of a child with a facial difference. This committee participates in input and direction of the organization on behalf of the community at large and needs of the community members. Here are the four newest committee members:
Joseph is from New York City and has been involved in AboutFace for the past couple of years. He attended our Adult Retreat for the first time in 2016 and has written for AboutFace’s eNewsletter. Joseph is in the film industry and is currently working on a documentary about Cleft Lip and Palate.
Kathy is a long time AboutFace community member from Amherstburg, ON. She has participated in numerous programs and events over the years and has fundraised extensively for AboutFace. She has advocated for facial difference awareness and promoted AboutFace in her hometown and was recently recognized in the local newspaper for her efforts.
Susan is from Brampton, ON and has been involved with AboutFace for many years as a parent of a child with a facial difference. She has volunteered at many events, and was most recently on the Dreams Team Committee which planned AboutFace’s ‘Light Up the Night Fashion Show and Gala’.
Brian is our representative from Northern Ontario and has been involved with AboutFace for several years, attending our Adult Retreat and participating in other programs and events.
Welcome to all of our new Constituency Committee members! We are so pleased to have such amazing, dedicated people to help shape our organization and make sure we are meeting the needs of all who we serve.
